At
Brocklebank Nursery we offer children between the ages of eighteen
months and five years a curriculum designed to help them progress
towards the Early Learning Goals developed by the Qualifications
and Curriculum Authority. Children with special educational needs
or disabilities have access to all areas of learning alongside others.
Each session features a range of play activities that cover the
following major areas of learning and experience: personal, social
and emotional development, communication,
language and literacy, mathematics, creative development, and knowledge
and understanding of the world.
To
give your child the quality attention they need, our staff ratio
for under twos is 1:3. For two
to three years it is 1:4, and for three
to five years it is 1:8. All our staff are PPA qualified or hold
other relevant qualifications to ensure that children enjoy a stimulating,
secure and caring environment.
We
believe that an important feature of our provisions is our happy
atmosphere and our primary concern is for your child's well-being.
A child who is happy and secure displays confidence and independence.
Children are treated with respect by staff and are taught to respect
others. Your child's progress will be carefully assessed through
frequent observations that will be recorded and shared with you.
